This adorable children's book is cardboard.  It measures 10 3/4" by 6" and is in good condition.  The Circus is by Garth Follett and illustrated by Nan Distelhorst.  It was "Manufactured in U. S. A. by L. E. Pitner, Copyright 1945 by Wilcox & Follett Co."  The publisher was Wilcox & Follett Co., Chicago.

COMMON CHILDHOOD DISEASES

COMMON CHILDHOOD DISEASES was given to policy holders and others by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in the 1940's.  This is a 7 1/2" paper cover booklet containing essential information regarding communicable diseases.  The diseases include  Chickenpox, Diphtheria, German Measles, Infantile Paralysis, Mumps, Smallpox, Scarlet Fever, Rheumatic Fever, and Whooping Cough.  This is a 1948 edition.  My, hasn't the medical field come a long way in 58 years?  The condition is good.

JUMBO ELEPHANT WHEEL BOOK

Jumbo is the story of a little toy elephant.  The book is made of cardboard and measures 8-1/4" X 5-1/2" and originally had small wheels at the bottom of the front cover.  The book is #1266-15 from the Samuel Lowe Co., Kenosha, Wis.  Other than the cover wear as seen in the picture, the book is in good condition.

BABAR BAKES A CAKE

The Babar Series was written by Laurent de Brunhoff and is a childhood favorite.  This particular book measures 4-3/4" X 4" and is a first edition from Random House.  The condition is good.

The Little Red Hen is illustrated by Erika Weihs and published by Wilcox & Follett Company, Chicago.  The only date I can find is 1945.  The contents are:

Adorable illustrations throughout the book.  The cover is worn at the corners, edges and spine.

I always enjoyed the Ideals publications from the 1960's and 1970's.  Nature's 1 2 3 was copyright 1967 and is in excellent condition.  This small staple bound soft cover is beautifully illustrated with a tight binding. It measures 6 3/4" X 7 3/4".
